Letters written from the trials of the Royal Navy's first ever submarine

Delafield Arnold-Forster joined the Royal Navy in 1891 and travelled to Grenada, Antigua and Copenhagen. For ten months he helped to trial the Royal Navy’s first ever submarine, Holland 1, and during this time he wrote letters to his family describing his experiences.
