Submarines attempt to disrupt Turkish supplies in 1914

The Royal Navy launched a campaign in the Dardanelles against Turkey in 1915. The operation mainly relied on British naval forces, but with substantial support from France, as well as Russia and Australia. The Dardanelles Campaign began as a purely naval operation and, after the amphibious invasion of the Gallipoli peninsula, naval forces were heavily involved in supporting the ground troops.
