‘The Attack Begins in the Factory’

During World Wars One and Two industrial production of ships, aircraft, weapons and munitions for all the services was vital.

The posters in this section were aimed at men and women working in factories and dockyards in an effort to inspire them to contribute to the war effort.

Sometimes the posters were targeted towards workers directly involved in producing for the Navy. Other times they used the example of the Navy and its people to inspire a wider audience.
