The career of a submariner who served in the Falklands War

Jeff Tall served in the Royal Navy's Submarine Service throughout the Cold War and also in the Falklands War. He eventually became the Commanding Officer of several of the Navy's nuclear submarines.

Tall acted as a Submarine Staff Officer in the Falklands Task Force. Part of his role was to liaise with Northwood Military Headquarters in London.

He was also a deputy to the Submarine Force Commander and played a role in the sinking of the Argentine cruiser the General Belgrano by British submarine HMS Conqueror.
