Invergordon Mutiny Oral History Transcripts

Commander Edgar Warren describes his arrival at Invergordon during the munity

Transcript: "Warren: We went straight to Invergordon from Plymouth. I think we were a day or so late joining the fleet and on entering Cromarty Firth and passing the various ships we were cheered and we had no idea why this was occurring. Interviewer: How soon did the ships company find out what was going on in the other ships? Warren: The ships company found out after leave had been given and the sailors had gone ashore to the canteen in Invergordon where there was an uprising and a few incidences. As far as I am aware the patrol which had been landed were ejected from the canteen."
