Admiral Sir Frank Twiss describes the causes of the Invergordon Mutiny
Transcript: "Invergordon happened over a period of years. What happened was that to begin with the Navy was very poorly paid. Sailors drew very little pay; officers drew very little pay; there was no marriage allowance; there were too many officers competing for promotion; the Navy was overmanned. And so although in many ways it was an enjoyable life, it was a slightly tense life for the officers because too few seemed to get promoted."
