Medals facts -  

  • Personnel receive the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal for 15 years service of good conduct.

  • In March 1981 commissioned officers of the Navy qualified for the medal after 15 years service provided they served at least 12 years in the ranks.

  • The medal is silver. On the reverse it has a three masted ship surrounded by a rope tied in a reef knot at the base.

  • The ribbon is dark blue with white edges.
