Twiss POW Oral History

Admiral Sir Frank Twiss was onboard HMS Exeter during World War Two when the ship was sunk in action off Java and the survivors transferred to Japanese prisoner of war camps unitil the cessation of hostilities. Twiss was held at the Macassar Camp, the Ofuna Punishment Camp, the Zentsuji Camp and the Mitsushima Camp until he was liberated by the Americans in 1945.
