Submarine memorial
On the 17 November 1974, Vice Admiral Sir Arthur Hezlet came to Malta to unveil a memorial plaque which commemorated the close ties between the people of the island and the Allied Submarine Service during the World War Two. Hezlet placed the plaque on the outside tower wall of St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral in Valetta overlooking Manoel Island.
