Fleet Air Arm Wrens

Wren Mechanics in the Fleet Air Arm

Wren ratings serving on Royal Naval Air Stations (RNAS) worked on a great variety of maintenance duties. This led to the decision to train women to replace men in some of the skilled technical jobs and the formation of specialised WRNS technical Fleet Air Arm (FAA) categories.
